Verna Dreisbach

Verna Dreisbach, of Dreisbach Literary Management, is an agent, writer and educator. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in English, giving her an edge in the editorial process. Verna is the founder of Capitol City Young Writers, a non-profit organization that supports and encourages creative writing in aspiring youth. Through her agency, Verna represents both fiction and non-fiction authors with a particular interest in books with a political, economic or social context. She represents a variety of fiction including commercial, literary and young adult. With over 13 years as a police officer, Verna also has a genuine interest and expertise in the genres of mystery, thriller and true crime. No fantasy, sci-fi, horror, screenplay or children's books.

Sally Harding

Sally Harding is a literary agent and co-owner of The Cooke Agency, which has offices in Toronto and Vancouver. She maintains an international perspective, representing clients from Canada, the US and further afield, and frequently travels to publishing centres, conventions and book fairs in North America and Europe to represent her clients' interests. Omnivorous in her reading tastes, she is drawn to books that reveal a unique take on the story we think we already know. She is one of the very few Canadian agents representing genre fiction writers, and is actively looking to add more mysteries to her list. She is on the board of the Vancouver International Writers & Readers Festival.
